The Imaging Source AU/BU Camera Series Firmware Update
This is a firmware update for the The Imaging Source AU/BU USB camera series. The cameras supported by this version are:

The firmware update is provided with the kind permission of The Imaging Source.
This is an inofficial firmware update for the use on the Linux platform. It is provided AS-IS without any warranty. The use of this software is on your own risk.
The firmware update will affect the hardware of your camera and may cause a failure of the device. Neither The Imaging Source nor the author of this software may be held responsible for the failure of the device when this update is applied.
If you need to apply a firmware update and want to retain full warranty from The Imaging Source, you need to contact the The Imaging Source support to get an officially supported update.
To build and run the firmware update, you need to have the following tools and libraries installed:
- gcc compiler
- libusb and headers ( usually available via your distribution )
- unzip ( also comes with the distribution )
On an Ubuntu installation, the following packages will satisfy the build dependencies: build-essential, libusb-dev and unzip. You can install them via the package manager.
1. Download the firmware update archive from below and unpack it:
tar xfz TISUVC_1006.tgz
2. Change into the
TISUVC_1006/app directory and build the update application:
3. As root, call
update.sh from the TISUVC_1006 directory:
4. Done. Your camera should now have the latest version.
